Alex Mora has built his career in private lending around a clear mission: opening doors in real estate investing for the Latino and Hispanic community. Since joining Merchants in 2022, he has become a trusted voice in Portland, Seattle, and throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Alex’s credibility comes from the fact that he started on the other side of the table. He began as a multifamily investor in the Greater Portland area in 2019, and after seeing firsthand what borrowers need from a lender, he pivoted from investing into lending. His earlier background in telemarketing and automotive sales gave him a strong foundation for building trust quickly, and he pairs that with real, lived experience as an active investor.
Alex is committed to bringing people together. He frequently hosts real estate networking events that help investors and industry professionals connect and grow, and mentors Latino and Hispanic entrepreneurs who are interesting in learning more about real estate investing. Through his work with NAHREP and his speaking engagements, he champions greater representation for a community that deserves a stronger presence in real estate.
